Ontario doesn't have a different code book than other provinces, it's the Canadian Electrical Code, which covers all of Canada - it's just up to your province to elect whether or not to abide by that Code which as far as I know, all provinces have. Chances of finding a copy for free are probably slim - also, 2012 is now outdated, there is a new Code book being published every three years now so 2015 will have a separate Code which means you want that because otherwise your sections will not be updated and you may be using old info. Provinces don't adopt the code, it a Federal Document that covers all of Canada. The revised 2015 CEC went into effect Jan 1st, the next update will be Jan of 2018. Any permits awarded after Jan 1st are governed by, and work must comply with the 2015 CEC. Any work that was awarded a permit before Jan 1st is still covered by the 2012 version of the CEC, you basically get grandfathered in so you don't have to change installations in ongoing work just because the code changed while you were there.
